The innovative and handy emission tester MET 6 for gasoline and diesel vehicles measures the concentration of CO, CO2, HC, O2, NOx, turbidity co-efficient and particulate mass reliably and quickly. Particles which are larger than 70nm are identified and determined using a laser beam in the emission flow.
But its performance limits still have a long way to go: it is prepared to measure NO, NO2 and NH3.
Advantages:
- The MET 6 is available as gasoline- (MET 6.1), diesel- (MET 6.2) and combo-tester (MET 6.3)
- Small and light-weight (approx. 11 lbs as combo-tester)
- Menu-guided operation and easy to operate testing procedure (PC)
- Only one emission sample with quick clamping for all motor types
- Expandable to combo-tester (diesel / gasoline tester)
- Large service access (flaps) for easy maintenance
- New MAHA wireless OBD: light and easy to operate
- Wireless device communication (optional)
- Workshop oriented long-life operations unit
- 10V - 32V connections for mobile operation
- Active water separator, without influencing the measurement values
- Low energy consumption via intelligent energy management
- Measurement of the particle concentration is in milligrams per cubic meter [mg/m³].
-
High stability using laser and microprocessor technology
-
Verifies if the vehicles particle filter is working or functioning within its claimed effectiveness
-
Outputs for the connection to external evaluation software
-
Easy calibration checking and adjustment using supplied calibration tool
- The MAHA- particle measuring device is the solution when upgrading test programs to include particle measurement
Low Maintenance Needs
During MET 6 development great value was placed on keeping the device maintenance needs to an absolute minimum. The only part which is subject to wear and tear is the HEPA-filter which is accessible via a service access (flap) and can be easily exchanged. Based on conditions of usage, in extreme cases it may be necessary to clean the detector head and laser unit. In this case, the device will display the need for cleaning. All components of the measurement unit have been designed to be removed without tools and cleaned with conventional lens cleaners and lint-free cloths. Removal, cleaning and replacement of components takes less than three minutes.
