Equipping of Heavy Goods Vehicle Center in Ripshausen

MAHA technology is already well-known in Switzerland: quality which withstands the highest stresses and strains, the low downtimes, easy handling, test procedure automation, minimal maintenance needs,– that is, the enormously high functionality of MAHA equipment – are essential attributes for daily use and safety. Not for nothing does MAHA enjoy an 80% share of the equipment outfitting for organizations with testing systems!

Within the framework of a countrywide project titled >Intensification of the Heavy Goods Traffic Controls< Switzerland is setting up control centers which optimally enforce the existing regulations for drivers, vehicles and loads. This measure is a long-term investment in safety for Switzerland. Using the random sampling principle heavy goods vehicles are controlled at these heavy goods traffic centers. Driver, vehicle and loads are exposed to a comprehensive check. In Ripshausen, Erstfeld the first heavy goods traffic center of its kind has been opened for this purpose.

A prerequisite for the permanent success of this project is the cooperation with partners whose technical expertise level is extremely high. After all we are talking about functional safety in daily use– and under extremely high stresses and strain.

Together with the KSU/A-Technik AG (MAHA Dealer), who has been a main supplier of test equipment to testing organizations in Switzerland for many years thereby exhibiting a huge potential of experience, the heavy goods traffic center Ripshausen was realized and numerous MAHA equipment was installed.

The Heavy Goods Traffic Center Ripshausen is certainly one-of-a-kind in size, scope of services and equipment quality as well as provided services.

An essential speciality is that the IW7 EUROSYSTEM runs in a network which communicates with the system used by the police. That means that the test results are viewed instantly by the police and the corresponding measures can be initiated without losing time.

Following MAHA equipment was installed:
• Eurosystem IW7 test lane with scale
• Simultaneous TFT monitor 24“ for measurement value display
• Side-slip tester MINC II
