Time is money. And no business is more sensitive to this than the freight forwarding busi ness. Commercial vehicle workshops must work fast, effectively and competently so that trucks are back on the road without a hitch. Whether vans, trucks or buses: the radiocontrolled, battery-operated MAHA mobile column lift facilitates quick and safe lifting of larger vehicles.

Whether outside, in halls or washing bays, the sturdy EG prototype tested RGA single columns from MAHA can be flexibly used. They are distinguished by their ergonomic baseframe and slim design. This not only eases the need to manuever large vehicles on the workshop premises, but does away with the need for any construction measures on the service building. Very short set up time thanks to radio control makes commissioning of the MAHA RGA fast. Radio control means no connection cables are required between the columns. And beyond this, the mobile lift can be operated independently of the power supply. Power is supplied by four batteries, each 12 volt respectively, for all-purpose flexibility of the RGA mobile column lift.

Reliable Quality
Each RGA column unit has a load capacity of up to 7.5 tons which facilitates barrier-free working on loaded trucks. The four mobile individual columns each has its own oper ating element and splash-proof control box. Column selection is done via key stroke. The travel distance of 1.75 meters is advantageous for ergonomic working conditions for workshop employees.

The drive unit consists of a worm gear on top and a hardened precision stainless steel screw with recirculating ball nut requiring little or no maintenance and free of wear and tear. The nuts are manufactured in a splash-proof, dirt repellant design. The suspended bearing lifting screw has guaranteed long-life which MAHA underscores with a 5-year warranty. An hydraulic dolly is anchored on each column. The lifting carriage is equipped with fixed wheel lifting forks providing additional stability.

Micro-Processor Control Offers Safety and Reliability
The safety factor has been given special attention by MAHA during the development phase. The electronic micro-processing control offers numerous new functions. Among other things, it safeguards the synchronization. The e lec tronic synchronization and safety moni toring is done via radio. A corresponding software regulates the upper limit stop. A proximity switch controls the lower limit stop as well as the nut monitoring. The system switchs off at obstacle collision. Non-contact inductive sensors ensure safety monitoring and travel distance measurement. The safety catch device acts directly between column and carriage, independent of gear and lifting screw. Load monitoring is done electrically. Above and beyond this the RGA has an emergency lowering device by which mechanical lowering is possible during power outage.

Wide Scope of Accessories for Individual Application
A wide variety of accessories is the key to individual upgrades adapting to different areas of usage when needed. “We have made it our goal with our commercial vehicle workshop equipment to offer our customers practical and reliable solutions for fast application in daily workshop operations. With our RGA this goal has been especially well met in the lifting sector,“ says convincingly Klaus Burger, Managing Director responsible for sales.
