MAHA supports DOCTORS WITHOUT BORDERS

This year Christmas will be somewhat different: under a social sponsoring program MAHA has decided to support the organization DOCTORS WITHOUT BORDERS with a donation. For this reason we will not be giving gifts to customers this year.

A roof over your head, sufficient food, clean water and medical assistance are basic needs which most people in the western world are blessed with.
This is not the case for people caught in catastrophies or other crises. Today, DOCTORS WITHOUT BORDERS provides aid in nearly 60 countries to people whose survival is threatened by hunger, disease or violence. DOCTORS WITHOUT BORDERS aids the sick and wounded, helps malnourished children, fights against epidemics, builds wells and latrines, distributes tents, blankets and mosquito nets, leads the fight against malaria, HIV and tuberkulose, provides psychological counseling and raises the awareness for people most in need. And all this requires support because DOCTORS WITHOUT BORDERS is financed almost exclusively by donations to make sure fast, independent help can be provided.

€ 5.000,- can, for example, vaccinate almost 4,700 children against measles, including vaccinations and cooling materials. Measles is one of the five major causes of death among children in poor countries.

DOCTORS WITHOUT BORDERS helps quickly, impartially and independently. Recognized as a charitable, non-profit organization, the donation and resource diposition is anually audited by an independent auditor.

In this way, it is guaranteed that the donations are used for their intended purpose. And this means for the those people who are most in need.
