Bronze for MET 6.2

MAHA emission tester wins at the automechanika in South Africa

That emission testing is becoming increasingly more important far beyond the borders of Europe was clearly demonstrated at the automechanika South Africa. In the context of the AUTOMECHANIKA SA INNOVATION AWARDS 2011 MAHA received the bronze award for the MET 6.2.

The jury at the international trade fair held in Johannesburg from the 9th-12th of March was enthusiastic about the innovation development of the opacimeter of the second generation MET 6.2. This leading trade fair for automobile products in South Africa is the ideal platform for suppliers of vehicle parts and accessories. MAHA used this forum to showcase the MET 6.2 innovation to the experts and to prove that a measurement system is available which easily matches the technical progress of the automobile industry. The success was overwhelming:
MAHA was awarded the Bronze medal for the MET 6.2, emission tester for diesel vehicles.
The highly innovative tester convinced with aspects such as functionality, safety, quality, aftermarket and, of course, with a substantial contribution to environmental protection. (Environmental Management System based on ISO 14001:2004).

And then there is the issue of people’s health which is endangered by the fine dust particles.

Turbidity co-efficient and particle mass can be measured reliably and quickly with the MET 6.2. That means: particles larger than 70 nm are identified and measured in the emission flow using laser beam. Even the efficiency of particle filters can be verified. And in this lies the decisive contribution to the environment and people’s health.

And the MET 6.2 is ideally suited for daily workshop usage: small dimensions, low weight of only 5 kg, easy handling, extremely high measurement accuracy, good combinability with measurement and test stands and low maintenance needs provide for optimum usage in workshop, and research and development.

The emission measurement is taking on new meaning. The MET 6.2 is a true investment in a responsible future. An intact environment is the basis all over the world for valuable living space.
