AutoZum 2011 in Salzburg
AutoZum 2011, the international trade fair for automobile workshops and service station equipment, vehicle spare parts and accessories, chemical products and environmental technology ended on January 15 after four successful days. 325 direct exhibitors from 12 countries presented their innovations in 12 halls of the Salzburg exhibition center. MAHA was represented by the dealers Supanz (trucks), Siems and Klein (car) and Kastner (SLIFT products).
It was a strong positive signal that dominated the trade fair which takes place every two years. After the economic crisis of the past years presented the industry with turbulent times the leading trade show event in the automobile after-sales sector in the Alps-Danube region for over three and half decades was clearly dedicated to the economic recovery.
With 24,211 registered visitors, it was the second best result in the history of the AutoZum. And a thoroughly optimistic mood was obvious in the visitor survey conducted by the independent “market“ Institute: over 70 % of those surveyed indicated that they were very satisfied or satisfied with the current economic situation in their industry and 62 % expect another significant improvement in the development in the coming twelve months.
This positive trend also affected the rate of orders – more than half of the visitors used the fair to place orders and to shop – and not only as an information and communication platform.
So it is not surprising that the exhibitors were unanimously positive about the course of the AutoZum. The high quality of visitors, the family atmosphere and the small size were critical success factors. The proximity to customers and the resulting valuable contacts at the AutoZum can be counted as a stable base for establishing long-term future business relationships.
